An excerpt from our Customer Appreciation Dinner speech, on February 9, 2020:

 

"Thank you honorable guests and welcome everyone to Greenfield Valley Fishing Resort. We are humbled that you have joined us for this special event today and we'd like to take this opportunity to tell you the story of Greenfield.

Greenfield was founded 10 years ago from the vision and determination of my father, Mana, who unfortunately has passed on. He adored this place.

​

In the beginning, there was a group of 5 British anglers who drove by this hidden valley area and saw our lakes. They stopped and asked if they could fish, offering to pay my father for each visit. My father didn't mind, and every time they came, they paid. If my father or his wife Marisa weren't around, they would leave their payment with the onsite gardeners. 

​

Later, one of those anglers went fishing at Gillhams in Krabi. He brought back a brochure for my father who studied it and was intrigued. My father was an avid nature-lover, whose life-long dream was to build a vacation destination for people to connect with nature, and escape from their modern-day stresses. Back then, John Marshall, an experienced angler who was married into our family, would visit my father occasionally. So they talked through the idea. The more they talked the more interested my father became. He was convinced that fishing was the perfect quiet outdoor activity to enjoy with loved ones.

 

Determined to build his dream destination, my father asked Marisa to find the most reputable angler to help him. She found the late John Wilson. He and my father connected, and John's brother David Wilson also came to advise. Both were instrumental in helping us setup our facilities and selecting the appropriate quality equipment for use. The big day came, and we opened in 2010, then came the customers, then came the family to help. From that point on, Greenfield Valley Fishing Resort has served customers from all over the world."

Now in our 13th year of our family business, we are pleased that our facilities continue to grow:

• In 2017, we opened a new restaurant.

• In 2019, we opened our Carp Lake. 

• In 2020, we remodeled our restaurant and grounds.

​

Mana named Greenfield after his favorite song "Greenfields" by The Brothers Four. He built a place that he absolutely loved and for all others to love as well. Our family is committed to continuing his legacy, and we pride ourselves in making your visit memorable.
