We have just arrived home from greenfield valley fishing resort. The resort is approximately 20 minute drive from Hua Hin. We arrived around 8pm and the staff cooked food for us upon arrival, their menu caters for both Thai and English, the food was excellent. The bungalows we stayed in were situated alongside the family lake, and were ideal. They do have bigger bungalows at the side of main lake which I think cater for up to 4 people. The bungalows were cleaned everyday, clean towels and bedding changed on a daily basis. The fishing was excellent, we caught various different types and sizes of fish (red tailed cat fish / alligator gar / pacu / tilapia, arapaima to name a few. our guide nook was great. We mentioned that we were interested in a bit of sight seeing which Natalie organised for us. We went to a floating market, bridge on the river Kwai and elephant trekking. All of which were amazing especially the floating market (well worth a visit). On a few evenings we went into Hua Hin A very bustling place, found some good restaurants and loads of shops and a lovely beach and only 20 minutes drive from resort. All in all this was a great holiday, both for fishing and none fishing people. We enjoyed our holiday so much we plan to book for next year. Alison

I have had the pleasure of staying at Greenfield valley on several occasions and I plan on returning again. My last visit was just days ago and as always Greenfield valley came through for me. I stayed in one or their Bungalows and as always it felt like a home away from home, clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant is nothing short of excellent with both the English and Thai food being a reasonable price and just simply great food. All cooked by one lady Noi who seems to excel in the kitchen like few others. Their hospitality cannot be equaled, from arrival to departure everything was easy and problem free. My reason for staying at Greenfield valley is of course to fish their lakes and as always the fishing was superb with a great host in Dave Wilson and a very hard working and knowledgeable guide Nook. It would be difficult to find fault with this peaceful oasis and I have no hesitation in recommending it to any one whether they be fishing or just wanting a few days away in peace and quiet. I cannot imagine how anyone could be less than happy and contented after a few days staying at Greenfield Valley.

I had recently stayed at Greenfield valley with my family and a friend from overseas. I found that the place was very peaceful with great views of nature. The accomodation was suitable for the price. I would say that fishing is the best feature at greenfield. The guides were friendly and hard working. Personally, i think that the price was cheap compare to other fishing places in thailand eg. IT monster lake. The food was pretty good and the people were nice.

Our family has been here several times since big flood in Bangkok in 2011. This place is really recommended since they are pet friendly resort. We had 2 big labradors and a puddle but really hard to find a resort welcome our dogs. There were many flood victims with their dogs & cats moved here at that time. The place is very nice view, calm, and quiet. It is really good place if you dont like crowded Huahin. This resort is not far away from Pranburi where you can enjoy seafood and surrounding area. Our family really enjoy everyntime we come here with our dog. It make us felt like home. The staffs are great. The rooms are comfortable

My husband and I spent one week at Greenfield Valley in January 2014. It was a fabulous experience for both of us, as we prefer quiet locations and attentive, but not hovering, service. Greenfield Valley accepts pets, and our little Chihuahua had a great time exploring the premises--very safe for her, even off the leash. The fishing was productive and fun. Neither one of us are great sportsmen, but the Family Lake is well-stocked and it was easy to catch one big fish after another, especially with the help of the hard-working guides. The grounds are spacious enough that one can feel a sense of privacy without feeling isolated. Our small bungalow (#106) had a nice outdoor shower, comfortable mattress, and soft cotton linens (comfortable beds and bedding doesn't always happen in Thailand). The food at the restaurant was consistently tasty and well-cooked. The staff was kind enough to go the sea market on New Year's Eve to buy and prepare special foods for dinner. I would recommend Greenfield Valley for anyone who enjoys a quiet, quality location at a great price. It is a bit far from Hua Hin, but we hired a car and were able to explore the area and get in and out of town easily and quickly.

We had 2 nights here in between Bangkok and stopping in Hau Hin city. It's a beautiful well managed fishing resort just outside the city. We would recommend getting transport before you stop here otherwise your at the mercy of the guys that work there or arranging a taxi. It's a fair way out from civilisation. I hired a rod for £8 a day and I fished in the family lake for just £6 a day. I would recommend taking your own tackle if your going to spend a week. You can take your own reel and hook lengths and buy a rod for small money. I didn't fish the specimen lake as it was over a £100 a day with a guide but the guides are helpful and knowledgeable. I met some English guys who used the place regular and they helped me with some good local knowledge. I caught some nice Siamese Carp, Chinese Carp, Pacu, Tellapia and assorted catfish up to around 25lb in my 2 days there and the fish came steady so I had a good time. We ate there as we had no transport and the food was adequate but nothing special and reasonably priced. We would definitely go back but be better prepared. The evenings are unbelievably quiet and the gardens are beautiful just to sit out and enjoy. Each of the small bungalows has a small veranda. There are TV's in the rooms with no English channels.

Went here after a very disappointing trip to bungsamran where I was well and truly ripped off trying to catch an arapaima after being picked up by nook at my hotel I set catching my elusive arapaima and within the first few hours had two in the net not monsters but beauties at 25 kilo and 40 kilo had an amazing day catching retail catfish chao-prays catfish Siamese carp alligator gar and many more the lakes and the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and the price of fishing is reasonable compared to others in Thailand and you only pay one price for all the fish not extra for better rod and line or better bait or good advice from guide or more money to catch arapaima ( Bungsamran) I would fully recommend coming here for the fishing had an amazing with nook and greenfield

I have fished a few places across the globe and this is up there with the best . Very quite place I was well looked after and caught some incredible fish . If I am ever in these parts again I will return . The food in the restaurant was reasonable and cheap , drinks were very cheap . All the staff there could not do enough for me .

This is an incredible, peaceful place, and is also one of my favorite fishing lakes in Thailand. I have been here three times (In Janaury and August 2016), and have caught a great variety of fish up to a 200 pound arapaima, which is as of this writing the biggest fish (weight wise, as sailfish are more lightly built) that I have caught. Have also been lucky enough to catch rohu, redtail catfish, gar, pacu, HUGE java barbs, chao pharaya, and tiger cats from this amazing lake. If planning a fishing holiday in Thailand, you had better get on down here! Oh, and Nook is an incredible guide!

TravelAngler725

My friend Steve and I visited this fishery and caught 10 different species of fish the largest 80 kilo plus arapaima we had redtail catfish and carp to thirty not big by Thai standards but hard fighters.Carp and catfish can be caught in all pegs but on our visits only the place near the inlet produced big fish.

I visited this resort on 3rd July with my guide .It is about 3 hours drive from Bangkok . Very neat and clean place . Very well managed . I landed many Siamese carps and also able to land legendary arapaima. Hooked 4 but landed one . They have good resturent and their fishing guides are quite experienced . They have many good huts for staying over night . This place is far from city but lovely family vacation point. I think very few people stay here for night . Only weak point is they do not give huts on rent to the fishing customers for day time . I overall enjoyed my visit . I recommend highly this place to fellow fishermen . Beautiful scenery and well managed place.

Writing on behalf of my boyfriend, we stayed for one night and done half a days fishing then a full day fishing. My boyfriend caught so many fish Arapaima, amazon red tail and asian red tail, alligator gar, and many carp also siamese carp. He was buzzing!! The lakes are beautiful and not over crowded you basically have it to yourselves. There is good wifi on the lakes and in rooms and the restaurant food is delicious!!!! And prices are fair. They also provide transfer service. The room was also perfect massive bed massive room! cool bathroom and small kitchen area lots of space for everything. Great fishing day and also for the girlfriends who don't fish and get bored. All staff were helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend here.
